btdubs, paige and i will probably not be very active for a few days. we have finals for the next two days and i have sat subject tests on saturday. (we were planning on starting this blog after finals but i couldn’t wait that long). edgirlproblems will continue to post daily as is queued. :)

i’m not sure about paige but mine don’t…. well, my dad for sure doesn’t know. the thing is my mother was actually anorexic for most of her life until she had kids. she legitimately weighed under 80 lbs, and she’s not short. so since my mom has that history she picks up on my actions fairly easily. i did have a scare in 9th grade when she wanted to send me to a psychiatrist, but i’ve learned to conceal it better since then.

no, neither of us are trying to recover. but that doesn’t mean we don’t support other girls’ recoveries, we send them the best of luck!

pheyday Asked: So I've had an ed for about a year, and not many people know. i have always been smaller than one of my friends and she has been trying to lose weight recently. I feel like if i told her it would trigger her and she would get smaller than me. I know that's seems selfish but.. Did you ever feel like it was a competition between each other? And do you have any advise on wether i should tell her?

i’ve never felt like i’ve been competing against paige - we simply have very different body types. i’d recommend not telling her. if she’s in the process of trying to lose weight introducing the idea of eating disorders into her head isn’t a good idea, especially if you are already smaller than her.

Its all about trust.  There are some people who I consider to be my best friends but i would never tell them because they just couldn’t handle it. I can’t tell you what to do because that’s something you need to gauge for yourself.  It took me about a year and a half to get the balls to tell Mia and she’s the most trustworthy person I know. It’s just a matter of what you are comfortable with and who you are trusting with this info.

honestly we can’t exactly pinpoint what we have, it’s been all over the place. when my ed first developed i was pretty much strictly anorexic, but it has changed since then.

we were violating the new tumblr policies. although i told tumblr support i would take down ANY posts/pictures that caused our suspension, they just started to completely ignore my e-mails.
